Description Diego
Diego is a early-maturing sorrel variety with high yield and excellent taste qualities. The plant develops quickly: from full germination to the first harvest takes 42‑47 days, and the maturation period is about 45 days. Leaves are wide, elliptical, dark green, 20–25 cm long and 35–40 cm high; they have a juicy texture, weakly acidic taste, and are rich in vitamins and trace elements.

Diego's yield is impressive: during one growing season you can obtain 4.7 to 5.1 kg/m². With proper care, the plant recovers well after harvesting, allowing for several (3–4) harvests per season starting from the second year of life. Thanks to its frost resistance, sorrel retains marketable qualities even in cold weather.

Diego is suitable for both fresh consumption and canning. Leaves can be used in making green borscht and other dishes, as well as stored for a long time due to their resistance to loss of flavor and texture.
