Common Rowan «Vefed» – the result of multi-year research by the V.I. Michurin All-Russian Institute of Genetics and Breeding of Fruit Crops. The variety was bred based on the Nevezhskaya No. 1 and No. 7 rowan, possesses high winter hardiness and drought resistance, which allows it to be grown in various climatic conditions without special restrictions.

It is a medium-sized tree with a rounded, loose crown that lets light in, creating favorable conditions for development. The fruits ripen in the second half of August, have an orange-pink color and a shiny skin. The berry mass is 1.2–1.4 grams, the flesh is juicy, the taste is sour-sweet with a pleasant aroma. The yield reaches up to 17 kilograms per square meter, which makes the variety particularly valuable for gardeners and culinary enthusiasts.

Care for «Vefed» is minimal: it requires only weed removal, fertilizing, watering, and soil loosening. It is important to carry out sanitary pruning in spring and mulch the planting circle if necessary. The variety is resistant to rust and leaf curl, which reduces the risk of disease. Thanks to its versatility, the fruits can be consumed fresh or used for jams, compotes, and freezing, as well as added to various dishes thanks to their rich taste and high vitamin C content.
