Simpathia is an early-maturing hybrid of sweet corn, characterized by a maturation period of about 70-74 days. Plants are of medium or strong height, reaching 160 to 190 cm, with moderate foliage. Ears are large, cylindrical or conical in shape, 15-17 cm long and weighing from 180 to 230 g, ensuring good market appearance of the product.
Corn grains are bright yellow, large, and sweet, making the hybrid particularly valuable for fresh consumption, as well as for boiling, canning, and freezing. The taste quality of boiled and canned corn is highly rated, confirming the versatility of this variety in the food industry and household use.
For growing Simpathia, it is recommended to use light, fertile, and well-moistened soils. Sowing is carried out in May at a depth of 3-5 cm with a row spacing of 45x45 cm. Yield ranges from 5.2 to 7.4 kg of ears per square meter, indicating the high productivity of the hybrid when agricultural technology requirements are met.
