Description
PORUMBEN 200 MB is an early-maturing hybrid of sweet corn intended for cultivation in various regions, including Central and Central-Black Earth. The plant is medium-height, reaching 162-175 cm, with 13-14 leaves and a weakly bushy growth type. The ears are cylinder-conical in shape, 16-18 cm long, with even rows of grains, white cob color, and a mass of 130 to 208 g. The grain is toothed, wrinkled, yellow in color, with a dry matter content of 33.6%, total sugar of 2.8%, starch of 18.8%, and protein of 3.7%. The mass of 1000 grains is 163 g. The period from germination to technical maturity is 72-85 days.
The hybrid is characterized by high yield and resistance to a number of diseases, including southern helminthosporiosis, blister and powdery heads, as well as ear bacterial infections. Damage by corn moth does not exceed 13%. Yield of conditioned ears using the seedling method in the Central region reaches 112-118 centners/hectare, which exceeds the indicators of standard varieties. Maximum yield was recorded at the level of 142 centners/hectare. PORUMBEN 200 MB is distinguished by yield stability, early product formation, and excellent taste qualities of boiled and canned corn.
This hybrid responds well to fertilizers and irrigation, which contributes to its high productivity and drought and stress resistance. It is recommended for use both in fresh form and for canning. Due to its characteristics, PORUMBEN 200 MB is a reliable choice for agrarians seeking to obtain a high-quality and high-yield product.
