KUBANSKY SAKHARNY 210

KUBANSKY SAKHARNY 210 is an early-maturing simple hybrid of sweet corn that reaches technical maturity 70-75 days after germination. The plants grow to a height of 180-200 cm, and the cobs are 16-20 cm long, have a weakly conical shape with a well-defined top and weigh about 230 g. The grains are large, yellow, with a thin husk and tender consistency, ensuring high taste quality. This hybrid is intended for fresh consumption, as well as suitable for canning and freezing.

The crop is undemanding but poorly tolerates transplanting, so the seedling method of cultivation is not recommended. Sowing is carried out directly into the soil when the soil temperature reaches 10-12°C, burying the seeds 4-5 cm deep. Pre-sowing soaking of seeds for a day in water is recommended to improve germination. Sowing is done in rows with a distance between furrows of 60 cm. The best predecessors for this corn are melon crops, tomatoes, peppers, and potatoes. At the 3-4 leaf stage, the crops are thinned, leaving two plants per clump at a distance of 40 cm.

To increase yield, it is recommended to apply 10 g/m² of superphosphate at sowing, as well as 1-2 top dressings with mineral fertilizers during the season. Care for the plants includes loosening the soil, watering, hilling before tassel formation, and removal of suckers on lower leaves when their size is about 5 cm. Thanks to these agrotechnical measures, the hybrid demonstrates stable growth and high quality of the harvest.
