KWS Progas — this is a winter hybrid rye, specifically developed for silage production. This variety is characterized by rapid biomass accumulation and high green mass yield, ensuring high dry matter output per hectare. Rye exhibits intensive green mass growth due to optimal stem thickness and leafiness, as well as early heading, allowing silage harvesting to start earlier than usual.

The variety possesses high winter hardiness, confirmed by a winter hardiness rating of 8, and resistance to various diseases. It shows high resistance to powdery mildew and snow mold, medium to high resistance to rhynchosporium and rust, and medium resistance to brown leaf rust. Plant height reaches approximately 140 cm, with lodging rated as medium.
