KWS Tayo — this is a winter rye hybrid, characterized by high yield and stable grain quality. This variety stands out for its high ear productivity and high grain content, ensuring significant yields of both grain and straw. KWS Tayo rye is suitable for various purposes, including food use, feeding pigs and sow, as well as for malting and brewing purposes. The variety was registered in 2022, confirming its modernity and relevance for agriculture.

One of the key features of KWS Tayo is its high resistance to lodging and diseases such as rhynchosporium, snow mold, brown rust, and powdery mildew. Thanks to the PollenPlus® technology for rye head protection, this hybrid demonstrates excellent resistance, allowing it to be grown even under organic farming conditions. Plants reach a height of 110-135 cm, and the vegetation period ranges from 280 to 320 days, ensuring adaptation to various climatic conditions.

Recommended sowing dates for KWS Tayo include early, optimal, late, and very late, making this variety versatile for various agronomic conditions. The optimal seeding rate is 200-230 seeds per square meter or 2.0-2.2 million seeds per hectare depending on growing conditions. The crude protein content in grain ranges from 9-10%, and the 1000-grain weight varies from 30 to 42 grams, indicating high-quality harvest.
