Rosehip RUH

The 'Ruh' rosehip variety is the result of crossing the May and Wrinkle species, obtained in the Moscow region under the leadership of V.D. Strelets. It is characterized by a late maturity period, which allows for planning the harvest later compared to other varieties.

The 'Ruh' bush belongs to the medium-sized type and has a weakly spreading structure. The stems are curved and light green, thorns are located along the entire length of the stem, and medium-sized leaves ensure sufficient photosynthetic area.

The fruits of this variety are large – average weight 3 grams, have an elongated shape and bright orange color. The medium skin thickness gives the fruit a pleasant aroma. The taste is sour-sweet and refreshing, and the vitamin C content reaches 1700 mg % of the berry mass. The variety is self-incompatible and resistant to diseases, which makes it convenient for wide application in gardening and industry. Yield is low (about 1.7 kg/bush), but stable every year due to the plant's winter hardiness.
