Rootstock "Zagorevsky" is a cherry variety of medium ripening period with high yield. The tree is characterized by a low-growing, bushy form, which makes it convenient for planting in limited spaces of a garden or plot. Fruit-bearing occurs on one-year-old shoots, and the average fruit weight is about 3.7 grams, with a maximum size of up to 4.3 grams.
The fruits of this variety have an oval-oblong shape and a dark ochre skin color, sometimes transitioning to an almost brown shade. The taste combines acidic-sweet with a chocolate aftertaste, making them popular for both fresh consumption and making desserts.
The variety is distinguished by high frost resistance and cold hardiness, as well as good compatibility during budding. To maintain moisture and improve survival of seedlings, they are packed in polyethylene bags (PE). Thanks to these characteristics, "Zagorevsky" is suitable for both commercial cultivation and private gardens.
