The SVG 11‑19 rootstock is a medium-sized, spreading bush with strong, non-branching shoots and brownish-red stems. Medium-sized, short-pointed, dark green, slightly glossy leaves give the rootstock an elegant appearance.
SVG 11‑19 originated from a hybrid of the Ussurian plum (Chemal'skaya + Rannaya) and is a triploid (2n=24). The clone is characterized by high shoot-forming ability, making it convenient for propagation through green cuttings. The roots possess good frost resistance – they can withstand temperatures down to -20 °C, while drought resistance and anchorage are at a medium level.
The fruits of SVG 11‑19 are small (8–10 g), round, dark purple, and feature abundant flowering. Yield is moderate compared to other varieties, yet productivity increases by approximately 20% compared to seedling rootstocks. The rootstock is well compatible with all diploid plum varieties and is resistant to most diseases and pests. Studies show that root formation in SVG 11‑19 is associated with a specific ratio of growth stimulants and inhibitors; compared to rootstock OP 23‑23, it forms fewer roots but maintains high productivity. This clone is suitable for horticulture where compact bushes with bright fruits and cold resistance are valued.
