Rootstock Ruby

The Foundation of a Resilient Orchard

The 'Rubin' rootstock is a product of extensive breeding efforts by the All-Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crop Breeding (VNIISPK). Designed as a specialized solution for both commercial and home gardening, this variety has established a reputation as a reliable tool for creating hardy and long-lasting orchards. Its development was a direct response to the needs of growers in regions with harsh climates, where standard rootstocks often fail to cope with extreme temperature fluctuations.

Agronomic Profile

The core value of 'Rubin' lies in its exceptional cold tolerance. Capable of withstanding temperatures as low as -35°C, this rootstock ensures the stable vitality of grafted crops even during snowless and severely freezing winters. This makes it indispensable in zones of risky agriculture, where the survival of the root system is the primary challenge.

• Early Fruit Bearing: Trees grafted onto this rootstock typically reach their fruiting phase within 2-3 years, significantly shortening the payback period for the orchard.
• Adaptability: The domestic breeding pedigree ensures high compatibility with most zoned scion varieties, minimizing the risk of graft rejection.

Choosing 'Rubin' allows orchardists to protect their investments from winterkill while ensuring predictable results in terms of early yields. It is the preferred choice for professionals focused on quality, longevity, and economic efficiency under challenging climatic conditions.
