Turnip of the Dunyasha variety is a medium-maturing vegetable with a period from germination to technical maturity of 65-70 days. The root is round, yellow in color, with smooth thin skin and a weight from 160 to 190 grams. The flesh is golden-yellow, juicy, tender and sweet, without coarse fibers, making the turnip especially tasty and nutritious. Due to the high content of vitamins, microelements and minerals, this variety has valuable dietary qualities and is suitable for consumption in stewed, baked form, as well as as a filling for pies or an addition to salads.
The Dunyasha variety is characterized by resistance to bolting, cold-hardiness and shade tolerance, which allows growing it in various climatic conditions. Sowing is recommended from April to July at a depth of 1 cm using a scheme of 10-15×20-40 cm, which ensures a yield from 2.3 to 2.9 kg per square meter. For successful growing, regular watering, feeding with complex fertilizers and loosening the soil are necessary. The turnip is well stored at 0–4 °C for several months, retaining its market and taste qualities.
The variety has high resistance to diseases, including root bacterial blight, premature bolting and other fungal infections. For disease prevention, it is recommended to follow the watering schedule, timely remove affected plants and, if necessary, treat with fungicides and insecticides. Thanks to these features, the Dunyasha turnip is a reliable and quality choice for growing in open ground and under film, ensuring a stable and tasty crop.
