Description

Mid-season ripening variety, developed at the Southern Ural Research Institute of Fruit and Vegetable Crops and Potato Cultivation from crossing the varieties Bredtorp and Belorussian Sweet. Author B.S. Ilyin. Under state variety testing since 2004.

Strong-growing, dense, medium-spreading bush. Growing shoots of medium thickness, green, curved. Buds medium-sized, egg-shaped with a pointed apex, glabrous, solitary, brown, leaf scar shape rounded.

Leaf five-lobed, medium-sized, light green, yellowish-green, leathery, wrinkled, blade concave, glabrous. Lobes pointed, central larger than lateral, with additional projections. Lateral lobes widely spaced, angle between their midveins obtuse. Basal lobes well-developed. Leaf base with deep or medium indentation. Teeth sharp, medium-sized, curled. Petiole medium length and thickness.

Flowers medium-sized, pale, broad-cupped, sepals medium width, separate, curled, light pink or white-yellow. Sepal surface in bud matte-pink. Inflorescences medium length (4.2-5.5 cm or 79 flowers), solitary, axis medium thickness, light green, glabrous, slightly curved, petiole medium length and thickness, green or light green, glabrous.

Berries very large (2.1-3.6 g), round, relatively uniform, nearly black, with medium seed count (21-26 seeds), sweet flavor (5 points), aromatic, universal use. Receptacle closed, peduncle medium length and thickness.

Winter-hardy, high-yielding, average multi-year yield is 6.4 t/ha, maximum — 22.0 t/ha (1.6-5.5 kg/plant), distinguished by high self-fertility, low susceptibility to powdery mildew and anthracnose.

Advantages of the variety: disease resistance, high yield and winter hardiness, large berry size, dessert flavor.

Disadvantages of the variety: medium susceptibility to septoria.
