Rubinova Raspberry by FANZA: European Breeding for High Yields

The 'Rubinova' variety, offered by the producer FANZA, represents a robust choice for both professional growers and small-scale farmers. Rooted in European breeding heritage (original breeder: Meristeme, France), this remontant variety has been optimized to thrive in demanding climatic conditions, boasting exceptional winter hardiness and a strong natural defense against the spider mite.

Key Agrotechnical Features

Rubinova is highly regarded for its balance between effort and reward. With minimal maintenance requirements, it consistently yields between 4 and 6 kg per bush. The fruit size is highly variable based on care, ranging from 2–3 grams to an impressive 10+ grams. The berries feature a distinct conical shape and a bright red hue, making them highly marketable for fresh produce markets or high-quality processing.

• Yield Potential: 4–6 kg per bush of sweet, high-quality fruit.
• Ease of Handling: The canes are low-thorn, which significantly improves picking speed and reduces manual labor costs during harvest.
• Maintenance: Classified as requiring minimal care, making it an excellent candidate for low-input farming systems.
• Versatility: Whether destined for the table or commercial processing, the variety maintains its flavor profile and structure.

In a competitive market, Rubinova stands out as a reliable 'workhorse'. Its genetic resistance to common pests and its inherent ability to adapt to varying soil conditions simplify the agronomist's job. By choosing Rubinova from FANZA, producers gain a predictable crop that combines resilience with professional-grade taste and appearance.
