Technological Excellence: The Genetic Profile of DрисRaspSortin

At the core of the breeding success of the DrisRaspSortin hybrid from the US-based brand Driscolls is the work of originator Michael D. Ferguson. The development strategy focused on stabilizing continuous production cycles within a commercial framework, resulting in a highly efficient horticultural asset.

Biological Architecture and Fruit Metrics

The technical value of this hybrid lies in the precise balance between berry mass (3–5 g) and the plant’s metabolic intensity. The early ripening cycle is achieved through an optimized photosynthetic rate, allowing the plant to redirect nutrients into fruit development immediately following dormancy.

• Shoot Construction: The semi-thornless nature of the canes simplifies harvest operations and significantly reduces mechanical damage to the delicate skin of the berries.
• Yield Dynamics: The continuous fruiting habit ensures a steady supply of yield, minimizing production lulls and streamlining supply chain management.
• Organoleptic Profile: A superior sugar content paired with a classic red pigment ensures high consumer acceptance and aesthetic marketability.

Operational Efficiency

The minimal maintenance requirements make this cultivar an ideal choice for both large-scale commercial operations and intensive high-yield garden plots. The inherent stress resistance of the variety reduces the dependency on intensive chemical protection, thereby lowering production costs and improving the overall environmental footprint of the crop.
