Kashinu Gift is a remontant raspberry variety of medium ripening period, distinguished by large berries of rich dark red color with a bright gloss. The berries have a wide-conical shape and an average weight of about 5 grams, while individual fruits can reach up to 7-8 grams. The pulp is dense, sour-sweet with a pleasant aroma, ensuring a high tasting score. The vitamin C content in the berries is 63 mg%, and the sugar-to-acid ratio is 2.6, making them healthy and delicious.
The bushes of the Kashinu Gift variety are tall and powerful, reaching a height of about 180 cm, and have a semi-erect form. The canes are characterized by weak prickliness with short and medium-hard thorns. Thanks to the high yield, reaching up to 170 centners per hectare, the bushes require tying for ease of harvesting and maintaining shape. The variety is resistant to diseases and pests at the level of standard varieties, has good winter hardiness, but requires a sunny location for optimal fruiting.
This variety is versatile in application and suitable both for fresh consumption and for processing. The berries are dense and transportable, which facilitates their storage and transportation. Despite moderate drought and heat resistance, Kashinu Gift is well adapted to various climatic conditions, confirmed by its introduction in several regions, including the Moscow region, where it was bred.
