Snow Queen

Snow Queen is an early-maturing hybrid of winter rapeseed, distinguished by high winter hardiness and extreme frost resistance. The vegetation period of this hybrid is approximately 300-305 days, and plant height ranges from 160-170 cm. This rapeseed has a well-developed branching system and demonstrates the best yield under intensive cultivation technologies, making it an optimal choice for forest-steppe and steppe zones. The recommended sowing rate is 0.9-1.0 million seeds per hectare. The Snow Queen hybrid is characterized by high resistance to major rapeseed diseases such as phomopsis, black leg, peronospora, alternaria, bacterial blight, and sclerotinia. Resistance to drought, lodging, and shattering is rated at 8-9 points, ensuring stable yields even under adverse conditions. Bacterial blight and peronospora infection are practically absent, and damage from aphids does not exceed 12%. Over the course of trials, the average yield of Snow Queen was 38-40 c/ha, with potential up to 72 c/ha under optimal conditions, especially adequate moisture and application of high rates of mineral fertilizers. Oil content in the seeds reaches 46.4%, with erucic acid levels very low (0.0-0.2%), meeting high quality standards. In addition, the hybrid has low glucosinolate content (0.3%) and high protein content (19.7%), making it valuable for oil and feed production. Green forage yield can reach 470 c/ha, and 1000-seed weight is approximately 4.5 g.
