Croissant

The hybrid rapeseed Croissant is a classic fast-growing variety with high adaptability to early sowing. It features good winter hardiness, high regenerative capacity in spring, and drought resistance, ensuring stable yields under various growing conditions in Ukraine. Over the years of testing, the hybrid has shown winter rapeseed yields of 38–45 centners per hectare, with a potential yield of up to 71 centners per hectare, and an average yield over the test years of about 50 centners per hectare.

Croissant belongs to simple winter types with a vegetative period of about 305 days. The 1000-seed mass is 6 grams, oil content reaches 46%. Plant height reaches 173 cm. The hybrid is characterized by low levels of glucosinolates (0.4–0.05%) and erucic acid (0.0–0.2%), making it high-quality and safe for use. Disease and stress resistance is high: drought resistance is rated 9 points, winter hardiness also 9, and resistance to diseases such as phomopsis, black leg, peronosporosis, sclerotinia, alternaria, and bacterial blight is at a high level.

Sowing recommendations for the hybrid Croissant include a seeding rate of 350,000 to 500,000 seeds per hectare. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in various agro-climatic zones of Ukraine, including the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions. Seeds are supplied by reliable international breeders and stored under conditions compliant with the DSTU 4966:2008 standard, guaranteeing their high quality and integrity.
