Rapeseed Taurus

German Excellence in Winter Rapeseed

The «Taurus» winter rapeseed hybrid, developed by NPZ Lembke, represents a milestone in high-performance agricultural genetics. As a product of the renowned German breeding house Norddeutsche Pflanzenzucht Hans-Georg Lembke KG, this variety is designed to meet the rigorous demands of modern farming. Its status as a simple linear hybrid ensures field uniformity and predictable performance, making it a reliable choice for commercial growers seeking efficiency.

Agronomic Profile and Sowing Flexibility

One of the distinctive features of «Taurus» is its low-branching growth habit, which promotes efficient resource allocation and simplifies harvesting operations by reducing seed loss. Developed by a team of experts including Jurgen Noack and Martin Frauen, this hybrid is engineered to maximize yield potential through optimized planting density. The ability to calibrate plant population based on local field conditions is a major advantage:

• Recommended stand density ranges from 500,000 to 800,000 plants per hectare.
• This versatility allows farmers to adjust seeding rates according to specific regional soil types and moisture availability to ensure ideal leaf area index development.

Taurus remains a competitive asset for agricultural businesses looking for resilience against climate stressors. Its genetic profile offers robust winter hardiness and excellent spring recovery, which are essential for navigating the unpredictable weather patterns common in European agricultural regions.
