Description Smaragd
Smaragd is an autumn rapeseed hybrid with high and stable yield potential due to its strong maternal line genetic potential. The plant features dark green leaves and stems, as well as a strong root system that develops already in autumn. The hybrid exhibits balanced growth, moderate spring and autumn growth, medium height, and high winter hardiness, making it especially suitable for cultivation in the middle belt of Russia and regions with a warm climate.

One of the key features of the Smaragd variety is its high oil content and resistance to major diseases, including genetic resistance to turnip yellow mosaic virus (TuTV), as well as tolerance to phoma, virescence, and lodging. The rapeseed shows good drought resistance and adaptability to various soil-climate conditions, ensuring stable yields even under adverse conditions. Its medium maturity period and high suitability for both early and late sowing make this hybrid versatile for various agronomic schemes.

The recommended sowing rate is 400-500 thousand seeds per hectare, which allows achieving yield potential of 42-50 centners per hectare. Smaragd is widely used in the food industry, as well as for milk and oil production, thanks to its high taste quality and oil content. This hybrid combines genetic health, resistance to pests and diseases, as well as high productivity, making it a profitable choice for farmers.
