Rapeseed Smart

Swiss breeding for high performance

The «Smart» winter oilseed rape hybrid by Syngenta represents years of genetic research by Swiss specialists, focused on mitigating risks in oilseed production. In an era of volatile weather, this hybrid has become a cornerstone for growers seeking consistent yields and reliable performance throughout the season.

Advanced phytosanitary protection

The primary strength of this hybrid is its robust genetic resistance against common pathogens that typically compromise profitability. The «Smart» hybrid demonstrates a high threshold of immunity to critical agricultural threats, specifically:

• Gray mold;
• Downy mildew;
• Root rot.

These resistance traits allow farmers to optimize their fungicide programs, transitioning from routine preventative measures to targeted applications, ultimately saving operational costs.

Agrotechnical advantages

This hybrid is engineered for intensive farming systems. Due to its inherent genetic plasticity, the hybrid adapts seamlessly to various soil profiles while maintaining consistent thousand-kernel weight and high oil content. «Smart» excels when sown at optimal intervals, ensuring uniform emergence and vigorous root system development before the winter dormancy period. For the producer, this translates to minimal winterkill risk and highly predictable output, which is essential for effective crop rotation management.
