Senator Lux

Senator Lux — a mid-late maturing winter rapeseed variety, recommended for cultivation in various climatic conditions of Ukraine, particularly in the forest-steppe and Polissya regions. The plant reaches a height of approximately 165-176 cm and is characterized by a round stem shape with a thickness of 19-21 mm. The vegetation period lasts approximately 278 days. The inflorescences are racemose, 26-37 cm long, with large bright yellow flowers. The pods are 8-10 cm long, each containing 25-31 blackish-gray seeds of regular spherical shape. Senator Lux is distinguished by high resistance to lodging, drought, shattering, and some pests, as well as moderate frost tolerance. Thanks to these qualities, the hybrid demonstrates stable yields reaching approximately 55-60 centners per hectare. To enhance cultivation efficiency, seed fungicide treatment and adherence to sowing norms are recommended, which vary depending on the sowing date: from 0.8 to 1.5 million seeds per hectare. The main application of this variety is the production of high-quality meal and vegetable oil. Senator Lux combines high productivity with adaptability to various agronomic conditions, making it a profitable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality rapeseed harvest.
