SEMMI

The winter rapeseed variety SEMMI is an early-maturing, high-yielding hybrid developed by Australian breeders of the SAATBAU LINZ company. It is characterized by a vegetative period of 270-280 days and features high drought resistance, ensuring stable development and yield even under insufficient moisture conditions. The plants have a compact height of about 123 cm, which contributes to good lodging resistance and facilitates crop care.

The variety belongs to type 00, meaning it is non-erucic and low-glucosinolate, making its produce higher quality and more in demand. Oil content in seeds reaches 44.8-47%, and protein content is up to 23%, ensuring high nutritional and technological value of the harvest. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 3.5 to 6 grams, indicating seed size and uniformity. Sowing rates are recommended within 60-70 seeds per square meter.

The SEMMI variety exhibits high resistance to major rapeseed diseases, such as phoma and sclerotinia, which significantly reduces the risk of yield losses and decreases the need for chemical protection agents. Early flowering and high pollination promote the formation of a large number of siliques, which positively affects the overall yield. The variety is recommended for seed production and is suitable for various regions with a moderate climate, including the North Caucasus region and Krasnodar Krai.
