SELEGOR

Selegor is a mid-late variety of winter rapeseed (Brassica napus var. napus) type 00, characterized by the absence of erucic acid and low glucosinolate content. It was created through multiple individual selections and self-pollination from an interspecific hybrid, ensuring high productivity and adaptation to various natural conditions. The plant is short, with a general height of about 131 cm and a high branching degree, which contributes to an increased number of seeds per pod and overall yield. The vegetative period is 265-270 days, and the flowering time is early, allowing for effective use of the variety in various growing regions, including the Central, North Caucasian, and Central Black Earth regions.

The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness (4.1 points) and resistance to lodging and shattering, ensuring crop preservation. The mass of 1000 seeds is about 4.2 g, and the oil content in seeds reaches 45.8-47%, corresponding to world standards. Additionally, Selegor has high protein content (about 21%) and demonstrates excellent resistance to major rapeseed diseases such as fusarium, alternaria, peronosporosis, and phoma, with resistance ratings up to 9 out of 9.

The variety is recommended for cultivation for seeds, green fodder, and high-quality oil and meal production. Due to slowed autumn development, plants do not overgrow, which contributes to better wintering and preservation of yield potential. Average yield in various regions reaches 13.2 c/ha, and in Krasnodar Krai - up to 20 c/ha, which is significantly higher than standard varieties. High compensatory ability and adaptability make Selegor a profitable choice for agrarians seeking to obtain a stable and high-quality rapeseed crop.
