Rapeseed Dominator

Prioritizing Phytosanitary Security

The winter rapeseed hybrid 'Dominator' from the German breeding company Deutsche Saatveredelung is designed for farms that prioritize mitigating viral risks. In modern intensive agriculture, where climate change extends the activity of aphid vectors, safeguarding crops against viral diseases has become a critical yield determinant. This hybrid, developed by DSV, goes beyond standard yield potential; it acts as an essential tool for biological crop protection.

Field Performance and Agronomic Advantages

• Genetic Shield: Strong resistance to the Turnip Yellows Virus (TuYV) allows for optimized insecticide programs, reducing reliance on chemical treatments while preserving beneficial entomofauna.
• Phytosanitary Stability: Inherent resistance to Phoma reduces the risk of lodging and premature pod shattering, which is a major advantage during mechanized harvesting operations.
• Operational Precision: As a simple linear hybrid, 'Dominator' displays excellent crop uniformity, making it easier to calibrate plant growth regulators and autumn fungicide applications.

Deploying 'Dominator' is particularly effective in regions with high infection pressure. The hybrid demonstrates remarkable consistency in areas with mild winters, which typically favor early viral outbreaks. Thanks to DSV’s breeding expertise, the crop efficiently utilizes available soil moisture and develops a robust root system, ensuring reliable winter survival even under fluctuating weather conditions.

For the modern agronomist, 'Dominator' represents predictability. By selecting this hybrid, you mitigate the risk of yield loss from viral 'jaundice' starting from the sowing phase. It is the optimal choice for those who prefer preventive genetic defense over reactionary measures during the peak of the growing season.
