The PT329 hybrid, developed in France and introduced by Corteva Agriscience Ukraine, is designed for intensive rapeseed production. Achieving the genetic yield potential of this F1 hybrid requires precise field management and a focus on early-stage development.

Sowing and Establishment

• Timing: Sowing should be aligned with regional optimal windows to ensure the crop enters winter at the correct growth stage (typically 8–10 leaves).
• Planting Density: A target harvest density of 45–50 plants per square meter is recommended to allow for optimal branching and pod set.
• Soil Requirements: PT329 performs best in well-drained, fertile soils. Seedbed preparation must ensure fine, firm soil contact to promote uniform emergence.

Nutrient and Growth Regulation

Effective management of PT329 involves a balanced approach to nitrogen application, split into two or three doses to maximize uptake efficiency and prevent lodging. In the autumn, monitoring the growth point is essential; if the crop is developing too rapidly, growth regulators should be applied to prevent the apical bud from rising above the soil surface, which is critical for winter survival. Boron application is a key requirement for this hybrid; it should be applied at the 4–6 leaf stage and again pre-flowering to support pollen viability and reduce pod shatter. Consistent monitoring for pests and diseases during the stem elongation phase is advised to protect the yield potential.
