Sunflower SOLF 1561 MNA

Performance and consistency in the field

When working with the "SOLF 1561 MNA" hybrid from Limagrain, you quickly realize why French breeding is held in such high regard. The primary benefit for an operator is its robust defense system. With built-in resistance to Peronospora, Phomopsis, and Phoma, you spend significantly less time worrying about fungicide applications, keeping the input costs in check.

Operational efficiency

The hybrid is designed for the CLEARFIELD (EURO-LIGHTNING) production system, which makes weed management much more efficient. From an operator's perspective, the application process is smooth; the plant shows excellent tolerance to the herbicide, maintaining its vigor throughout the growth cycle without significant growth lags.

Key performance metrics

• Vegetation period: 100-110 days, allowing for a predictable and flexible harvesting schedule.
• Height: 120-130 cm, which makes it very manageable during harvest; no issues with lodging even in heavier soils.
• Oil content: 45-50%, consistently high-quality grain that performs well at the elevator.

The compact structure of the plant makes harvesting straightforward. You don't need to drop the header too low, which reduces the intake of unwanted debris and lowers the risk of losses. The uniform ripening pattern helps achieve consistent grain moisture levels, saving time and money on post-harvest drying. Overall, it’s a low-maintenance, reliable hybrid that delivers results without requiring constant adjustments.
