Rapeseed Maverick

German resilience for your fields

In the field, confidence is everything. When you plant Maverick from NPZ Lembke, you aren't just buying seeds; you’re investing in German breeding that focuses on actual field performance rather than just marketing brochures.

Built-in pest management

Managing pests is the biggest budget drain for any rapeseed grower. The real advantage of Maverick is its inherent resistance to the most common field threats, which saves both money and soil structure by reducing the number of sprayer passes:

• Cruciferous flea beetles: The hybrid shows strong initial growth, effectively outrunning early damage.
• Rapeseed blossom beetle: Significant resistance allows for fewer insecticide applications during the budding phase.
• Aphids and leaf rollers: The plant withstands these attacks with minimal loss of vegetative mass.
• Cereal leaf beetle: High tolerance keeps the canopy healthy and productive right up to harvest.

Practical performance

From an operational standpoint, Maverick is exceptionally easy to handle. It is plastic enough to fit into various intensive management programs without requiring complex or custom fertilizing schemes. The seed quality from NPZ Lembke is consistently high—well-calibrated and uniform, which makes the planting process smooth. No clogging, no gaps, just even emergence.

Maverick demonstrates impressive winter hardiness and a vigorous start in the spring, which is vital for hitting your yield targets. If you are looking for a reliable hybrid that won't give you headaches in the middle of the season and will deliver solid performance to the harvester tank, this is a top-tier choice for any farming operation.
