Mazari CS

Mazari CS is a high-yielding winter rapeseed hybrid of the conventional type, developed by the breeding company KWS (Caussade Semences). It is characterized by a medium-early flowering period and high plant height, reaching up to 168 cm. The hybrid features intense branching and large pods, contributing to high yields with a potential of up to 63 centners per hectare. The recommended seeding density for spring vegetation recovery is 25–35 plants per square meter, ensuring optimal crop development across various agroclimatic zones of Ukraine, including the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia. Mazari CS has a high oil content in seeds — from 47.2% to 50% — making it attractive for oilseed industry. Additionally, the hybrid exhibits high protein content and low glucosinolate levels (16 mol/ha), improving product quality. Seeds are treated with Modesto for disease protection and improved germination. The seeding rate is approximately 0.5 million seeds per hectare, with 1,500,000 seeds per package. The Mazari CS hybrid demonstrates high resistance to major rapeseed diseases, such as phomopsis, cylindrosclerotium, and sclerotinia, as well as high winter hardiness and drought tolerance. It is resistant to lodging, seed shattering, and cracking, ensuring yield preservation and stable productivity under various weather conditions. The energy of initial autumn development and spring vegetation recovery is high, facilitating successful vegetative period passage and achieving maximum yield.
