Messi Rapeseed is an early-maturing hybrid winter variety developed for conventional cultivation techniques and adapted to a wide range of sowing dates, including early, optimal, and late sowing. Seeds exhibit high germination rates and a recommended seeding rate of 400,000 to 550,000 per hectare depending on sowing time. Plants reach a height of 160–175 cm and belong to the mid-late maturity group, ensuring uniform ripening and efficient harvest.

One of the key advantages of the Messi variety is its high winter hardiness and resistance to major diseases such as Phoma (with Rlm7 resistance) and Verticillium, as well as cabbage clubroot, due to the use of the hybrid line Atora. The rapeseed demonstrates intensive root development and strong response to plant growth regulators, which contributes to resistance against lodging and pod cracking. High drought tolerance and stable yield potential up to 50 centners per hectare make this variety attractive for cultivation in various climatic zones, including the forest-steppe, meadow, and steppe regions of Ukraine.

To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to apply plant growth regulators in autumn at the 3–5 leaf stage and in spring at plant height of 10–20 cm, as well as early application of nitrogen fertilizers. Oil content in seeds reaches 45%, and glucosinolate levels do not exceed 15 mmol/g, meeting high quality standards. Seed production is carried out in Germany, ensuring high quality and compliance with international requirements.
