Common sunflower Zeus F1

Consistent performance with Serbian genetics

Working with the 'Zevs F1' hybrid from the Serbian institute IFVCNS (Novi Sad), farmers get predictable results even under challenging weather conditions. The key advantage of this sunflower is its durability. With a growing season of 100–110 days, it fits perfectly into harvest schedules, allowing for efficient field operations without delays.

Field performance and plant protection

A plant height of 160–170 cm makes the crop robust, yet it remains resistant to lodging, which is critical for mechanized harvesting. The resistance to rust and phomopsis is not just catalog marketing; it results in real savings on fungicide applications. In high-humidity conditions, where other hybrids may succumb to infections, 'Zevs F1' keeps its leaf apparatus functional right up to the harvest of the head.

Economy and oil yield

An oil content of 50–55% makes it highly attractive for processors, ensuring that selling the harvest is rarely an issue. This is a case where IFVCNS genetics deliver high grain quality and a stable oil yield per hectare.
