Common sunflower Dnestr F1

Reliability of Serbian Breeding in Your Fields

The IFVCNS institute (Novi Sad) has always focused on adaptability, and the 'Dniester F1' hybrid is a prime example of their expertise. In today's volatile climate, this sunflower hybrid demonstrates a rare ability to maintain yield potential where competitors often fall short.

Agronomic Profile

Standing at 160–170 cm, 'Dniester F1' is a medium-height hybrid, which significantly simplifies harvesting and reduces the risk of lodging during strong winds. Its key feature is a 100–110 day vegetation period. This allows farmers to operate within standard crop rotation cycles without worrying about delayed maturation.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• Disease Resistance: High resistance to Phomopsis reduces the pressure on your fungicide protection programs.
• Oil Content: A 45–50% oil content makes this product attractive to processors, ensuring better premiums at the elevator.
• Seeds: Featuring a characteristic grey-striped pattern, these seeds possess high germination energy, crucial for uniform emergence.

Like any intensive hybrid, 'Dniester F1' requires adherence to proper crop rotation. It is not a "silver bullet," but with balanced fertilization and optimized seeding rates, it delivers highly predictable results.

Why Choose This Hybrid?

This sunflower is an optimal solution for agricultural operations seeking a balance between seed costs and harvest quality. It is suitable for both large agribusinesses and smaller farms that need to mitigate risks associated with extreme early or late-maturing varieties. By betting on proven European genetics from IFVCNS, you ensure your investment is protected by the consistency and quality of 'Dniester F1' production.
