Rapeseed MARSTRIP

Stable Yields: Working with Marstrip

When planning winter rapeseed sowing, you are always looking for a balance between winter hardiness and yield potential. The winter hybrid Marstrip from Maisadour Semences is one of those cases where you understand exactly what you are paying for. In the field, the plant behaves predictably: the height of 150–160 cm allows for standard maintenance machinery usage without any complications, while the medium branching ensures uniform pod ripening.

Field Observations and Agronomics

Regarding seeding density, stick to the recommended 400,000 to 500,000 plants per hectare. At this rate, the hybrid tillers excellently without becoming overly dense, which is critical for aeration and disease prevention. The French breeding shows its quality here: oil content at 40–45% is stable, and the low glucosinolate content (9–10 mMoL) indicates high-quality commercial grain that processors are eager to purchase.

Why Choose This Hybrid:

• Winter Hardiness: Withstands typical regional temperature fluctuations without suffering spring stand losses.
• Technological Suitability: The plant height is ideal for sprayer operation and subsequent combine harvesting.
• Raw Material Quality: Stable oil levels and low glucosinolate content translate directly into a price premium.

Working with Marstrip is convenient because the hybrid doesn't require constant fussing. It is a solid, proven tool in an agronomist's hands that delivers predictable results even with moderate maintenance costs.
