KUGA

Rapeseed Kuga is a mid-early winter hybrid of German selection Lembke, featuring high yield potential up to 65 t/ha and oil content exceeding 45%. Plants of this hybrid have a compact type with height ranging from 155 to 175 cm, ensuring ease of agronomic care and harvest. Kuga exhibits rapid and dynamic autumn development, contributing to successful winter survival and high cold resistance, which is especially important for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including drought-prone areas.

The hybrid shows high resistance to stress factors such as drought and diseases, including phoma, verticillium, and cabbage yellows, thanks to the use of strong maternal lines Atora, Parcurs, and Violin. Rapeseed Kuga is adaptable to a wide range of sowing dates — from early to late — enabling flexible agronomic planning and optimized yield depending on growing conditions. Recommended sowing rates vary from 400 to 550 thousand seeds per hectare depending on sowing time and soil quality.

To achieve maximum productivity, classical cultivation technology with growth regulators and timely application of nitrogen fertilizers is recommended. Rapeseed Kuga is suitable for cultivation on various soil types, including light and heavy soils, and demonstrates high regenerative capacity after stress. This hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain a stable and high-quality rapeseed crop with high oil content and low glucosinolate levels.
