Rapeseed Valeska

German Genetics in the Field: The Potential of "Valeska" Rapeseed

Choosing a hybrid for intensive farming requires a balance between environmental adaptability and genetic potential. Developed by the German breeding company Saaten-Union, the "Valeska" rapeseed is designed for farmers who prioritize yield stability even under the unpredictable weather conditions of Central and Eastern Europe.

Agronomic Profile and Morphology

The key feature of "Valeska" is its well-calibrated plant height. Depending on soil fertility and plant density, the crop typically reaches between 130 and 160 cm. This height is ideal, as it combines a heavy yield of seed pods with excellent resistance to lodging.

• Branching: The medium branching pattern ensures uniform pod ripening, which is critical for minimizing harvest losses.
• Technological Advantage: The plant reacts consistently to mineral nutrition, allowing farmers to precisely manage crop development at various growth stages.

Why Choose This Hybrid?

What sets "Valeska" apart from many standard hybrids is its "plasticity." It is forgiving of slight deviations in sowing schedules while maintaining its full yield potential. For an agronomist, this translates to reduced risk during the busy sowing season.

Strengths: Stable yield across diverse climate zones, strong winter hardiness, and excellent early-stage vigor. "Valeska" is the choice for those who prefer proven Saaten-Union breeding standards over experimental varieties with unverified results.

Who is it for? This hybrid is optimal for farms using intensive farming technologies, where maximizing yield per hectare without the risk of lodging due to excessive biomass growth is the primary goal.
