Radish DARK NIGHT

Stable yields during long summer days

The «Tёмная Ночь» (Dark Night) radish, developed by «Гетерозисная селекция», is a specialized crop designed for those who want to continue harvesting fresh produce well into the summer and early autumn. Unlike standard spring varieties that quickly bolt (form flower stalks) under long daylight and rising temperatures, this hybrid is specifically bred to remain productive under stressful summer conditions.

Why choose this hybrid?

• Rapid maturation: Ready for harvest in just 20–25 days post-germination. This fast turnaround makes it an excellent choice for succession planting to maximize land efficiency.
• Superior uniformity: The round-shaped roots, weighing 25–30 grams, offer excellent consistency, which is vital for maintaining a professional appearance for retail sales.
• Stress resistance: Designed for the summer-autumn cycle, it maintains a crisp, juicy texture even when standard varieties turn pithy due to heat and high light intensity.

Who is this variety for?

«Tёмная Ночь» is perfect for market gardeners and home growers aiming for a reliable "second wave" harvest in August and September. Its primary strength is the combination of compact, uniform size and a resistance to bolting. The key to success with this hybrid is consistent soil moisture; as with many fast-growing radishes, irrigation is non-negotiable. Without proper watering during hot weather, the roots may develop a pungent taste or lose their desired crunchiness, so careful moisture management is the secret to a high-quality harvest.
