Radish of the Amethyst variety is distinguished by the bright purple coloration of its root crops and white, juicy flesh with a mild spicy kick. This early-ripening variety forms smooth, round fruits with an average weight of about 20 grams, which ripen uniformly and are ready for harvest just 20-25 days after seedlings emerge. Thanks to its dense and juicy flesh, Amethyst radish has a pleasant taste that, according to tasters, outperforms traditional red radish; it is sweeter, juicier, and retains moisture longer during storage.

The variety is resistant to early bolting, which extends the harvest period and increases its yield. Radish adapts well to various growing conditions, is not demanding in terms of lighting, and can grow successfully both in open ground and in cassette technology on a balcony. Sowing is carried out at the end of April – beginning of May, and for continuous harvest, repeated sowings with a two-week interval until mid-August are recommended. The optimal sowing depth is 1-2 cm, and the distance between plants varies from 3 to 7 cm depending on the planting scheme.

Amethyst radish prefers light, structured, and well-fertilized soils, which contributes to the formation of quality root crops. The autumn harvest of this variety can be stored for about two months without losing its taste and market qualities. Thanks to its bright color and excellent taste characteristics, this variety will be a decoration for any garden and table, ideal for fresh consumption in salads and as a side dish.
