Kroshcheka-Khavroshcheka — a variety of pumpkin characterized by stable high yield and large round fruits weighing 3-4 kg. The fruits have a gray color and weak segmentation, while their pulp is bright orange, thick, dense, and crisp. The pumpkin's taste is sweet with a pleasant dill aroma, making it particularly attractive for fresh consumption and processing.
The variety has good transportability and storability, allowing fruits to be stored for 90-100 days without quality loss. Kroshcheka-Khavroshcheka is resistant to diseases such as powdery mildew and anthracnose, which enhances its reliability when growing under various climatic conditions. Thanks to these characteristics, pumpkin is suitable for preparing baby and diet food, as well as for juice production, canning, and drying.
Growing the variety is possible both by seedling method and by direct sowing into the ground. Sowing for seedlings is recommended in March-April, followed by transplanting into the ground at the stage of 3-4 true leaves, when the threat of frost has passed and the soil has warmed to 14 degrees. When sowing directly into the ground, the optimal time is late May-June with a distance between plants of 60x60 cm. Care for plants includes regular watering, loosening, hilling, and fertilization, which contributes to the formation of high-quality and large fruits.
