The hard spring wheat variety «Siberia Pearl» is the result of breeding by the Siberian Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture. This medium-early variety is characterized by a period from emergence to wax ripeness of about 87 days. The grain is large, egg-shaped, and white, with a mass of 1000 grains ranging from 39 to 41 grams. The plant is semi-erect, the ear is pyramidal with medium density and strong coloration. The variety belongs to the forest-steppe ecological group and is intended for cultivation in the Ural, Western Siberia, and Eastern Siberia regions. «Siberia Pearl» is distinguished by high yield, which on average reaches 26-27.6 centners per hectare. The protein content in the grain is about 16.8%, and gluten content is 36.7%, which ensures good pasta qualities, rated at 4.1 points. The variety is resistant to root sprouting and has high resistance to lodging, rated at 4.8 points, and is also characterized by low shattering. These properties make it attractive for the production of pasta and other products from hard wheat. In terms of disease resistance, the variety shows medium resistance to powdery bunt, brown and stem rust, and is susceptible to hard bunt and powdery mildew. Despite this, the variety demonstrates stability and reliability under various growing conditions. Due to the combination of high yield, grain quality indicators, and resistance to unfavorable factors, «Siberia Pearl» is a promising choice for agricultural producers focused on obtaining high-quality hard wheat.
