Prime

Prime is a variety of winter spherical wheat (Triticum aestivum L. subsp. sphaerococcum), characterized by a medium-early maturation period. The grain of this variety possesses improved qualities and is used to enhance the commercial grades of weak wheats, as well as grain damaged by the shield bug. Plants of the Prime variety have a short stem and good lodging resistance, which contributes to a stable yield. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 34 to 39 grams, indicating the grain's size and density. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to diseases such as powdery bunt, yellow rust, and Septoria, and also exhibits enhanced frost resistance and high drought resistance, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. The yield of the variety in the Krasnodar Krai reached 100.3 c/ha, which is 8.3 c/ha higher compared to the Praskoviya variety.
