Variety distinguishing features. Variety type — hordeiforme. Ear red, slightly colored at maturity, medium length, cylindrical, dense, weak waxy coating, strong hairs on the edges of the lower 2-3 segments of the stem. Awns red, distributed along the entire length of the ear, longer than the ear at the tip. Kernel amber, elongated, weakly colored in phenol, 1000-kernel mass 42-44 g… Ear bract elongated, no hairs on the outer surface, raised, narrow shoulder, long, moderately curved awn. Ligule short, ring-shaped, incomplete coverage of the stem. Plant erect, stem strong, robust.
Biological characteristics. Variety created for intensive cultivation technology, medium-maturing, vegetation period 106 days. Resistant to lodging, plant height 100 cm. Ear easily threshes. Resistance to brown rust, powdery mildew, and flag smut is at standard level; resistance to stem rust and septoria exceeds standard.
Agronomic characteristics. Potential yield 5.5 t/ha. Gluten content 31-34%, protein content 13.5-15.5%. Good pasta qualities.
Agronomic requirements. Sowing rate 4.5 million viable seeds per hectare. Seeds must be treated with fungicide and insecticide prior to sowing. Variety tolerates significant doses of mineral fertilizers and requires planting after good preceding crops on soils with good moisture supply.
