KRASNOOBSKAYA OZIMAYA

Krasnoobszkaya Ozimaya is a soft winter wheat variety characterized by medium ripening and a vegetative period of 306 to 337 days. Plants of this variety have an average height of 83 to 118 cm, with a pyramidal ear of medium length and density, while the mass of 1000 grains ranges from 37 to 46 g. The variety belongs to the lutenscence group, is distinguished by high winter hardiness, lodging resistance, and drought tolerance, ensuring stable and high yields in the Western Siberia region, including the Altai Krai and Novosibirsk Oblast.

Krasnoobszkaya Ozimaya demonstrates high resistance to hard smut, moderate resistance to brown rust and powdery mildew, as well as medium resistance to septoria. Under field conditions, the variety shows strong susceptibility to snow mold, which should be taken into account when implementing agronomic measures. In terms of baking quality, the variety is at the level of filler wheat, making it attractive for the production of quality flour.

The variety was developed at the Federal Research Center of the Institute of Cytology and Genetics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements in 2021. The pedigree of the variety includes Novosibirskaya 3 and Omskaya 6. Krasnoobszkaya Ozimaya is recommended for cultivation in the Western Siberia region, where it shows maximum yields up to 65.5 c/ha, confirming its high adaptability and productivity.
