Debian

Winter wheat variety Debian is a modern, high-yielding variety developed by the DSV breeding program. Thanks to its unique wheat-barley translocations, this variety exhibits increased resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses, ensuring reliable and stable yields under various climatic conditions. The strong waxy coating on leaves effectively protects the plant from sharp spring temperature fluctuations, maintaining its viability and promoting prolonged photosynthesis.

Debian shows high field tolerance to diseases such as leaf septoria and brown rust, further contributing to plant health throughout the entire vegetation period. The variety is characterized by maximum spike compactness, early heading, and high thousand-grain weight, which are key factors for achieving high yields. Its comprehensive winter hardiness and resistance to lodging make it a reliable choice for cultivation in various regions.

The Debian variety has already proven itself as a leader in national post-registration trials in Germany in 2022. In 2023, under conditions of the Central and Western Ukraine, within the DSV internal trials and demonstration plantings, it demonstrated impressive yields exceeding 10 tons per hectare. These results confirm the high potential of the variety and its ability to ensure stable and high yields under challenging agroclimatic conditions.
