Wheat variety Balitus is an early-maturing, low-growing, and high-yielding winter wheat variety, specifically adapted for cultivation in southern and eastern regions of Ukraine. This variety features a non-awned type and high yield potential, reaching 90-120 c/ha, making it an optimal choice for maximizing output even under challenging weather and soil conditions. The seeds are not treated, allowing their use in various agronomic schemes.
Balitus is characterized by high resistance to major leaf and ear diseases, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss and ensuring production stability. Additionally, the variety tolerates drought periods well and exhibits excellent winter hardiness, enabling successful cultivation even with late sowing and under unfavorable climatic conditions. The 1000-seed weight ranges from 41.1 to 45.5 grams, indicating high seed quality.
The variety also features high protein content (13.2% - 13.7%) and raw gluten content (27.1% - 28.6%), positively affecting grain quality and technological properties. Due to these characteristics, Balitus is a reliable and productive variety capable of ensuring stable and high yields, which is especially important for intensive agriculture in southern and eastern Ukraine.
