IL'INSKIY

The potato variety Il'inskiy is a medium-early table variety developed in the Moscow region and approved for cultivation in the Central Chernozem and Volga regions of Russia. The plant is of medium height, semi-erect, with medium-sized green leaves having a slightly wavy edge. Tubers are oval-shaped with smooth red skin and white flesh, weighing 54 to 158 grams. Eyes are small and located at medium depth. The maturation period is 70-80 days from the emergence of full seedlings.

The variety is characterized by high commercial yield, ranging from 176 to 346 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 355 centners per hectare, significantly exceeding standards. Tubers have a commercial quality of 87-99%, and storability is 93%, ensuring good preservation of the harvest. Starch content in tubers ranges from 15.7-18.0%, which exceeds standard levels, and the taste of the potato is rated as good and versatile for various culinary uses.

Il'inskiy shows resistance to potato scab and certain viral diseases, including viruses A and Y, as well as to late blight. However, the variety is susceptible to golden potato cyst nematode and stem phytophthora, although tubers exhibit moderate resistance to phytophthora. The root system is well-developed, with 8 to 13 tubers forming per plant. The variety can produce stable yields even under drought and high temperatures, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions.
