Sunflower 7 PPU 01 A is an early-maturing Serbian hybrid with a vegetation period of 105-107 days. It is characterized by its low stature, reaching a height of 165-175 cm, which facilitates cultivation and harvesting. The hybrid has a high yield potential of up to 5.5 tons per hectare and contains oil at a level of 51-53%, making it attractive for the oil industry.

One of the key features of this hybrid is its high resistance to seven races of the parasitic weed downy mildew, as well as tolerance to major sunflower diseases, including Phomopsis, anthracnose, white mold, downy mildew, septoria, rust, gray mold, and Alternaria. This resistance ensures stable yields even under adverse conditions. Moreover, the hybrid exhibits high drought tolerance, enabling its cultivation in various climatic zones.

Hybrid 7 PPU 01 A is suitable for the Sumo technology, which involves the use of herbicides based on tribenuron-methyl (e.g., Granstar) for effective control of broadleaf weeds. This ensures clean stands and promotes better plant development. The recommended planting density is 55-60 thousand plants per hectare, and in dry conditions — 45-50 thousand. Seeds are treated with Maxim 035 and the growth stimulant Evrostim, which enhances their germination and stress resistance.
