Basten sunflower is a medium-early Ukrainian hybrid developed using modern technologies such as Clearfield and Sumo, providing resistance to herbicides and downy mildew. The vegetation period is 101-104 days, and plant height reaches 165-170 cm. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including steppes, forest-steppes, and meadows, making it a universal choice for farmers.
Basten is characterized by high yield, which can reach up to 55 centners per hectare, with an average yield of around 36 centners per hectare. Thanks to its strong root system and rapid early growth, the hybrid demonstrates stable performance even under drought and stress conditions. It is resistant to major sunflower diseases such as fusarium, fusariosis, white and gray rot, as well as various races of parasitic weed (A, B, C, D, E, F, G).
Oil content in Basten hybrid seeds reaches 48-51%, making it economically advantageous for oilseed production. High oil content combined with resistance to adverse conditions and diseases ensures economic efficiency in cultivation. The hybrid is suitable for intensive cultivation technologies and allows obtaining a stable and high-quality yield.
