This variety was obtained by sowing seeds of the Renclod Altana plum. Originator — All-Russian Research Institute of Genetics and Selection of Fruit Crops named after I.V. Michurin, breeder E.N. Kharityonova. The variety has been approved since 1993 for the Central Chernozem region.
The tree is vigorous, with a pyramidal, slightly raised crown. The crown is sparse, of medium leafiness. Shoots are straight or slightly curved, brownish-green in color, densely hairy. Many buds. Buds are conical, dark brown, pressed against the shoots. Leaves are medium-sized, broadly egg-shaped with a pointed apex and oval base, finely toothed margin, dark green color, overall relief curved like an arc. Petiole is short, medium thickness, cylindrical, brownish color. Stigmas are large, round, yellow, one or two per flower. Stigma is positioned above the stamens. Petals are oval, petal edges joined together. Calyx is conical, light green. Pedicel is thick, medium, with slight hairiness. Fruit set occurs on spurs and one-year growth.
The fruit is round-oval in shape, weighing 40 g. Apex and base are rounded, with a slight indentation at the base. Main color is dark purple, almost black, with a dense blue waxy bloom. Flesh is light green, firm, somewhat fibrous. Stone is elliptical in shape, fresh stone color light brown, apex oval, ventral suture ribbed, good detachment from flesh. Peduncle is short, well-detached from the branch, fruit does not drop off upon ripening. Flavor is sour-sweet (4.5 points). Biochemical composition: dry matter — 15.9%, sugars — 12.5%, acids — 1.05%, P-active catechins — 52.5 mg/100g, ascorbic acid — 15.75 mg/100g. Fruits are suitable for both dessert and processing purposes. Stone is oval-truncated in shape, ribbed, free, easily detaches from flesh.
Flowering and ripening periods are average. The tree begins fruiting in the 4th year. Annual yield is good.
Advantages of the variety: fruits of good flavor, attractive, versatile, transportable.
Disadvantages: wood winter hardiness is below average, tree is vigorous.
