This variety was obtained at the All-Russian Selection and Technology Institute of Horticulture and Nursery from the cross of Ochakovskaya × Memory of Timiryazev. Breeders: S.N. Satarova, V.S. Simonov. Introduced into the State Register since 2001 for the Central region.
Tree of medium height. Crown of oval, slightly raised shape, medium density and foliage, branches gray-brown and hairy, buds medium-sized, deviated from the branches. Leaf blade: lanceolate shape, size (length × width) 38.7 cm², dark green color, medium thickness, slightly wrinkled surface, no hair on the upper surface, hair present on the underside, serrated margin, petiole of medium length with glands. Flower: petals not closed, 18 stamens, stigma positioned slightly higher than the stamens, ovary bare, calyx bell-shaped, flower stalk of medium length, bare. Flowers and fruits form on flowering branches and one-year shoots.
Fruit oval shape, weight 14 g, dark purple color, no covering color, no hair, strong waxy coating, apex and base oval, weakly developed ventral suture. Flesh greenish-yellow, granular-fibrous, higher than average density, medium juiciness. Fruit stalk of medium length. Stone oval, weight 1 g, stone percentage from fruit weight — 7.1.
Flowering period 12-19 May, ripening period 16-22 August, age of fruiting onset 4 years, plant longevity 21 years. Self-fertile, higher than average yield, relatively regular fruiting (4 poor yields out of the last 16 years). Average yield over the last 16 years — 13 kg/tree. Winter frost damage to branches and twigs medium, flower buds below average, drought resistance medium, disease damage (clasterosporosis, fruit rot) medium (2-3.5 points), pest damage (aphids, fruit moth) — above average (3-4 points).
Flesh sugar content medium, aroma medium, taste rating 4 points. Dry detachment of the fruit stalk from the fruit, high transportability. Chemical composition of skin and flesh, content: dry matter — 15.44%, free acids — 0.99%, total sugars — 8.5, vitamin C — 7.17 mg/100g. Suitable for commercial and intensive horticulture.
Advantages of the variety: enhanced winter hardiness of flower buds, self-fertility, high yield, universal fruit use.
Disadvantages of the variety: small fruit size.
