This variety was developed in the USA. It was introduced into the State Register in 1983 for the North Caucasus region.
Medium-growing tree with a round, sparse crown. Straight trunk, dark gray, slightly cracking, moderately shedding. Shoots slightly pubescent, internodes medium — 30-35 mm, magenta-purple coloration, glabrous. Vegetative bud conical, apex acute, small — 2.1-3 mm, distant. Leaf blade rounded, apex obtusely acute, base rounded, medium size, length medium — 7.5 mm, width medium — 5.4 cm, medium area, green coloration, moderately concave, loose consistency, glossy, no pubescence on top, slight pubescence on underside along central and lateral veins. Margins single-toothed, teeth medium-sized. Petiole medium — 1.9 cm, with anthocyanin coloration. Stipules 1-2, sessile, medium size, yellow-green coloration. Bracts lanceolate, medium length — 8-10 mm, pale green. One to two flowers develop from the bud, bowl-shaped, very large — 31 mm in diameter. Petals ovate, large, length 13 mm, width 10 mm. Buds white. Petal color white. Bloom density weak. Apex rounded, margin wavy, no undulations. Numerous stamens — 28. Filaments straight, 7-12 mm long. Anthers yellow. Style 11 mm long, stigma rounded, located above and below anthers. Absence of pubescence on ovary. Calyx bell-shaped, glabrous. Calyx lobes oval, length 6 mm, width 3 mm, glabrous, no serration. Pedicel very long — 21 mm, glabrous.
Fruit reverse-ovoid, unequal-sided, very large, height 53 mm, width 40 mm, thickness 37 mm, weight 49 g. Main color green, covering dark-violet, continuous, no pubescence. Subcutaneous dots in average quantity, brown coloration, no stripes. Waxy coating dense. Apex rounded, base elongated (with neck). Pit of medium depth. Ventral suture well expressed, does not crack. Skin difficult to separate, medium thickness, loose consistency. Flesh color yellow. Pit coloration uniform with flesh. Flesh consistency granular-fibrous, firm, medium juiciness. Peduncle long — 20 mm, thick — 2.5 mm. Stone elongated-ovoid, large length — 32 mm, width 15 mm, thickness 9 mm, large — 1.8 g, 3.3% of fruit flesh. Color light-brown. Apex acute, base elongated. Dorsal suture moderately open. Ventral suture medium, central rib moderately expressed, lateral ribs clearly visible. Ridge medium size, sharp. Surface medium-ridged. Easily separates from flesh.
Fruits suitable for fresh consumption, drying, and various preservation methods. Preservation evaluation: frozen fruits — 4.8 points, prunes — 4.5 points, compote — 5 points, juice with pulp — 4.6 points, pickles — 4.5 points. Fruits contain, per fresh weight: dry matter — 21.6%, sugars — 13.8%, acids — 0.72%, sugar-acid index 19.17%, pectin substances — 1.02%, polyphenols — 460 mg/100g, ascorbic acid — 8.9 mg/100g.
Blooms at medium time — mid-April. Partially self-fertile. Ripens late — early September. Enters fruiting on 4-5th year. High and regular yield. High winter hardiness. Moderate drought resistance. Resistant to polyphagous pests and scab, but insufficiently resistant to moniliosis.
Advantages: yield, large fruit size, high fruit quality, winter hardiness.
Disadvantages: insufficient resistance to moniliosis.
